如果你另一个州的驾照已经过期
如果过期超过两年，你要参加全部考试：笔试、交通标志、视力检查和路考。如果过期不到两年，你只需参加交通标志和视力检查。
需要的材料
- 仍在有效期内的材料每份文件都有各自的有效期规定：外国护照必须在有效期内，并同时附带未过期的美国签证和 I-94 入境记录；北卡罗来纳州有限驾驶特许（Limited Driving Privilege）过期不能超过一年。已过期的移民文件如果附有美国公民及移民服务局（USCIS）延长其有效期的信函（例如 I-797 表），仍然算数。

要参加的考试
视力检查

笔试可以考几次
如果没通过，你可以在七个自然日后再考一次。北卡罗来纳州车管局（NCDMV）没有公布重考次数的上限。

车辆和保险
需要一份以你的名字开具、由北卡罗来纳州持牌保险公司出具的责任险证明：可以是保险代理人开的 DL-123 表、你的保单、保险临时承保书（insurance binder），或一张写明你的姓名、保单号、签发日期和到期日期的保险卡。走纸质 DL-123 表这条途径时，不接受电子版保险证明。
