If it has been expired for more than 30 days, you must take the computerized exam to get a Mississippi license.
Your Social Security Number
Giving your number, and who may see it
Your Social Security number is required for the learner's permit as well as the license. You can prove it with your SSN card, or with an official government letter that shows all nine digits.
The application form itself asks for your Social Security number, along with your full name, date of birth, and home address.
Tests you take
Eye test
You take it at the counter in the same visit as the knowledge exam, not at a separate appointment. If you normally wear glasses or contact lenses, bring them.
Drive test
No
None is given for a regular driver's license. You must pass the knowledge and eye exams.

Practising with your permit
Who can sit with you while you practise
A licensed driver who is at least 21 years old must sit in the seat next to you.
With the permit you can drive only when a licensed driver aged 21 or older is in the seat next to you. The permit is valid for two years.
